Dr. Harvey Grossman received his undergraduate B.A. degree from Brooklyn College in 1962 and in 1966 graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He completed his post graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bellevue Hospital in NY and did his residency training at Coney Island Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center in 1969.

In 1969, he entered private practice and established himself in specialty practice in Downtown Brooklyn and later at a second office in Bay Ridge Brooklyn.

Dr Grossman, working with many dental colleagues for over forty years provides services which involve the Diagnosis and Treatment of Oral Disease and Pathology, Dental Implantology, Extractions including wisdom teeth removal, Bone Grafts and the Treatment of Facial Trauma and Deformities.

Dr Grossman has lectured to many dental study groups and societies including the Bay Ridge Study Club, the Sheepshead Bay and Downtown Study Clubs and many dental departments in local hospitals.

Dr Grossman became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1973 and is currently a member of the American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The NY State Society of Oral Surgery, the American Dental Association and the Second District Dental Society.

His hospital appointments include Coney Island Hospital, Maimonides Hospital, St John’s Hospital, Lutheran Hospital and currently an attending Oral Surgeon in the Department of Oral Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital where he is involved in the training of future Oral Surgeons.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr Grossman now resides in Manhattan and Salisbury, Connecticut where he spends most of his time fly fishing, gardening and enjoying his four grandsons.  To relax at days end, Dr Grossman enjoys playing the old standards on his piano.
